Petrochina gas station management system is comprised of HOS back office management system and site management system. HOS back office management system includes HOS retail management system, card payment and customer management system. Site management system includes POS, BOS and card releasing and recharging system.

1、Overall application architecture
 Gas station management system overall application architecture is divided into three systems: HOS back office management system, region center back office management system and site system. HOS back office management system, together with region center back office management system, is called HOS back office management system.HOS back office management system includes HOS retail management system, card payment and customer management system. HOS system is integrated with such applications’ HOS systems as ERP, MDM, wholesale system, FMIS, etc by HOS application integration platform (EAI). Card payment system is integrated with finance organization. Region center back office management system includes region center retail management system, customer management front system and card payment front system. Region center system is integrated with such applications’ region center systems as FMIS, wholesale system, fuel DC, etc. and site system by region center application integration platform (EAI). Site system includes site back office management system (BOS), site point of sale system (POS) and card releasing/recharging management system. Site system is integrated with region center system by region center application integration platform. BOS is integrated with Petrochina’s original card site system and fiscal and tax system of some regions. And it is also integrated with some forecourt equipments by FFC. POS is integrated with Petrochina’s fiscal POS (EFT) and is connected with site equipment such as pump, ATG, etc. by FCC.

 2、Functions design of site POS terminal

Site POS’s main roles are to make payment of fuel and dry goods transaction in front and control forecourt equipments. Its functions include open shift, dry goods sales transaction, fuel sales transaction, payment management, goods management, EJ management, EOS, EOD, pump test, etc. 

● Print fiscal Z report：It is required to print sales summary report by fiscal printer for tax.
● Refresh devices   ：The usage of this function needs the guidance of technical staffs. It can refresh system peripheral equipments such as printer, scanner, etc.. For example, if system equipments are not connected, reconnect them without restarting system.
● Pump test：Dispense some fuel from pump to test fuel quality. There is no pump reading for this part of fuel. Record it as waste in transaction record.
● Returns：To execute transaction return when process a common system goods return. Selecting this function will display a reason menu for returns. If system supports the new-configured returns function, it will be allowed to return all goods, special goods and a certain quantity of goods. System applies current standard of returns function-report empty transaction or refund. System chooses different solutions according to manufacturers, MOP, EOS, goods type, etc.
● Line discount：Select it before finishing transaction to enjoy discount.
● Post void：Just like Returns, cashier can return goods which have been sold. Customer needs to turn in ticket or ticket number. Cashier don’t have to scan goods, because Post void and pay are done on the same interface.
● No sale：Select open bank. Its caculation is the same as the caculation of one transaction. Its function is to track.
● Price override：This function can be used in sales and return transaction. When the error of EJ causes variance between price in system and defined price, choose one reason for overriding price.
● Void transaction button：
    This function enables salesman to report a void transaction and choose one reason in void transaction reason list.
● Item lookup：
    Activate goods list screen. We can choose or look up any goods here.
● Price check： 
      According to customer’s requirement, process price check during transaction or out of transaction.
● End of shift：
               Manual EOS in system terminal.
● Recall：
           Recall a suspended transaction and inquire saved transaction.
● EJ：
        EJ function can inquire sales transactions finished in terminal within 2-3 days.
● Sign in sign out：
                   Register that a salesman is in system terminal or not.
● Save：
         Select it to save a transaction for a while. For example, if salesman has scanned some goods, and the customer discovers his watch is left in the car or he still want to buy more goods, salesman can save this transaction. When customer returns, salesman recalls it.
● Safe drop button：
                    To transfer cash from drawer into safe.
● Safe loan：
            When cashier gave much changes or needs more cash or he is going to make a pay-out transaction, he can loan cash from safe to drawer.
● Toggle button：在
                  Switch between two function screens.
● Close button：
Select Close button to return to main menu.
● Minimize：
             To minimize the application. Only available for technical staffs.
● Lock button：
            To lock system terminal temporarily. For example, when salesman is resting, only salesman’s passport and administrator’s top priority passport can unlock system system terminal. Once system is unlocked, salesman go back to work on main sales screen.
● Refund transaction button：
                            Salesman can return all goods on customer’s ticket.
● Retrieve transaction button ：
                              Select it to recall a saved transaction. For example, if salesman has scanned some goods, and the customer discovers something is left in the car or he still want to buy more goods, salesman can save this transaction. When customer returns, salesman uses this button to recall it.3、 Function design of site BOS terminalSite BOS’s main roles are to manage POS data in front and communicate with HOS system. Its functions include Cash office, EJ, Account management, Emplyee management, Goods category management, supplier management, addictive management, MOP management, Promotion management, inventory management, fuel control and management, fuel receiving management, local bank management, report management.
